Hi, I'm Roshan and thanks for visiting my website.

If I were to describe my work profile in just two words, they would be ‘Ideate’ and ‘Innovate’.

I am a Master of Computer Science student at the University of Victoria under the supervision of Dr. Neil Ernst. My Current research focus is towards leveraging bots to improve software engineering practices and to improve developer productivity.

Prior to joining UVic, I was a Senior Software Engineer at L&T Infotech Ltd. (LTI), Mumbai. At LTI, I gained over 3 years of rich experience in delivering innovative IT Solutions in Enterprise Mobility, Virtual Assistants, Chatbots and Web Development.

I completed my Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai with distinction in 2016 and was adjudged the Best Outgoing Student for Technical Excellence at DBIT.

I am excited to be at the crossroads of human civilization as we throttle full speed towards an AI centric future. My passion for Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and Deep Learning, drives me to delve deeper into these technologies so that I can meaningfully contribute to the unfolding changeover.

I love traveling and witnessing different cultures. I am also an avid reader.

Academic Projects

Decision Support System to assist farmers select crops in specific climatic conditions (2016)

Developed DSS to achieve precision in the decision making process for crop selection in Western Australian climatic conditions, to maximize crop yield and attain targeted protein percentages.
Implemented an Artificial Neural Network based Error Back Propagation Algorithm.
Liaised with Edith Cowan University, Australia for obtaining datasets and specifics of agricultural variables.

Simulate Parallel Computing by means of multiple Mobile Devices (2016)

Demonstrated parallel computing by utilizing several mobile devices to act as a single computing unit to solve a parallelizable task, thus cutting down on processing time.
Implemented Merge Sort Algorithm using a client-server android application.
